Being that condensation is one of the biggest issues of ANY outdoor insulated cat house, we recommend this kit as an important step to providing your cat the very best protection available.The purpose of this kit is to control all moisture caused by condensation from ever reaching the bedding of your cat! It replaces the bottom insulation of your current Kitty Tube with the new and improved bottom insulation system.
This Retrofit Kit includes:
1. specialized flow-through foam bottom layer
2. floor insulation disc

I have the Gen 3 Tube and got this upgrade. The Gen 4 Retrofit is a great improvement. I also got a replacement double insulation kit and straw. Kitty Tube is so well made and well designed. The straw is very clean and soft and lasts through many changes. My guest cat spends a lot of time in it and it is so nice to know she has a warm and safe shelter. Thank you for a great product and for caring so much about the cats!

great improvement especially that it absorbs water. My kitty tube is outside and it rains heavy sometimes.

You are the best, caring company! The condensation was definitely a "big" problem. I installed this for 3 feral kittens that stay in The Kitty Tube quite a bit. Thank you for your great company!

This is great to keep out wind, rain & snow. We got 8" of snow & wind yesterday & no snow in The Kitty Tube! I recently purchased a spare, just to have on hand.

I added this to an existing older generation kitty tube and it seems to have helped a good bit with retaining warmth.

I added this Retrofit Kit to my Gen 3 Kitty Tube. It was easy to install and keeps my feral cats dry. I definitely recommend getting it.
